Happy November Everyone!

One of the things I enjoy about fall is the length of time we have to decorate with autumn trinkets. Beginning in September and running through that date when the Christmas tree pops up is really the longest season of all. It’s not long enough for all the holiday sewing I want to finish up, but we have a plan to help you with yours! Check this out: —————————————————————————- Semi Private Lessons – Three Session Workshop. November 9th, 15th, 21st. Essential Tote – School of Sewing. November 12th Pleated Purse and Christmas Project – School of Sewing. December 12th Winter Break

Cool Stitches’ Mixed Media, by Darlene Sperber

Here at Cool Stitches we have an exciting year coming up starting with November and I am here to tell you some of the things  we have planned. I personally have so many things I like to do or try I can hardly wait to get started. Our first ‘round robin’ was held during the Kenneth King weekend event in October. We had 5 tables set up

June ’17 Updates

Hi Everyone! I hope you’re enjoying our entry into Summer! For me, being in Florida, it’s a time to move gradually indoors as the temps move steadily close to 100 degrees. I do venture out slathered in sunscreen for the water though – pool or ocean. I just returned from my sewing machine repair class in Shipshewana, Indiana and have so much to share with you about preventive measures you can take just by turning around some habits you may be developing – habits I know I am guilty of as well. I am more than satisfied (thrilled, actually) about

Fabric.com: Online Fabric Resource!

One of the things I want to do with Cool Stitches is provide quick resources for you to buy your online fabrics. I’ve teamed with Fabric.com to do so. It’s one of several online fabric resources I’ll be sharing with you over time. Other categories will be independent pattern companies, notions, and sewing machines, but let’s start with Fabric.com.
