Happy November Everyone!

One of the things I enjoy about fall is the length of time we have to decorate with autumn trinkets. Beginning in September and running through that date when the Christmas tree pops up is really the longest season of all. It’s not long enough for all the holiday sewing I want to finish up, but we have a plan to help you with yours! Check this out: —————————————————————————- Semi Private Lessons – Three Session Workshop. November 9th, 15th, 21st. Essential Tote – School of Sewing. November 12th Pleated Purse and Christmas Project – School of Sewing. December 12th Winter Break

Our first ‘round robin’ was held during the Kenneth King weekend event in October. We had 5 tables set up

Fabric.com: Online Fabric Resource!

One of the things I want to do with Cool Stitches is provide quick resources for you to buy your online fabrics. I’ve teamed with Fabric.com to do so. It’s one of several online fabric resources I’ll be sharing with you over time. Other categories will be independent pattern companies, notions, and sewing machines, but let’s start with Fabric.com. Their warehouse and distribution center is in Georgia – which was the center of the textile industry in its heyday. I use them as my first stop in online fabric shopping because they have so many options, an easy to use website,

Website Debut

I finally pushed the go button to launch the website even though there are tweaks and smoothing required. It’s quite exciting, and at the same time, I’m feeling a bit vulnerable too! Never expected that. The primary goal is to provide you a place to see what’s in store and sign up for events and activities you can’t wait to do! Here’s some of what we have: The School of Sewing, designed to provide you the opportunity to learn or refresh your sewing skills; or maybe just get together to make some pretty cool little projects and pick up some

What is a Pop Up Sewing Lounge?

Hi. Debbi Gray here, creator of Cool Stitches, a pop-up Sewing Lounge in Fleming Island, Florida. I’ve had this idea in mind for a sewing lounge for a number of years, and finally decided it is a great time to just get started. My background is in business and marketing of technical services, and while I enjoy the challenges encountered and experience gained, being in my sewing studio is one of my favorite things. I have decades of sewing experience, but consider myself a constant student. The idea for the pop up sewing lounge evolved from the foundations of a
