Join us as we explore the application and design options of applying a variety of media to a range of fabrics and then create an origami style bag of your choice.
We will doodle, zen tangle, paint, draw, color, and stitch our way to a wonderful textile in our workshop using many mediums, stencils, and transfers. Your favorite textile can then be assembled and folded into any one of fourteen designs created by Nancy Shriber and presented in her book, Sashiko Handbags. Your workshop kit includes a variety of fabrics in 14″ squares, binding, lining, and a fabric pen to continue your drawing on fabrics journey long after our fun workshop.
This unique workshop can be purchased as a stand alone workshop, but is also included in your registration for Kenneth King’s Embellishments and Trims lecture and workshop if you are attending. Lunch is on your own, but we have nice kitchen facilities and dining area, so we recommend you bring your lunch, or pick up a lunch and dine together.
